What Is the GHL OpenClaw Skill Pack?

This skill pack connects your OpenClaw AI agent directly to your GoHighLevel account through the official GHL API v2 and MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Instead of you logging into GHL to manage contacts, send messages, check pipelines, or pull reports — your agent does it for you.

Think of it as giving your AI employee a full set of permissions inside your CRM. It can read your data, take actions, and run tasks on a schedule — all without you touching a button.

How It Works

1. Install the Skill Pack into your OpenClaw agent.

2. Connect your GHL account using a Private Integration Token (takes 2 minutes in GHL settings).

3. Your agent gets access to every function listed below — contacts, messaging, calendars, pipelines, payments, social, blogs, email templates, and more.

4. Set up cron jobs so your agent runs tasks on a recurring schedule — daily lead syncs, weekly reports, hourly conversation checks, whatever you need.

What You Need to Get Started

There are two ways to use this skill pack depending on your setup. Pick whichever path fits you best.

Option 1: Full Autonomous Agent (OpenClaw)

This is the recommended setup if you want a fully autonomous AI employee that runs 24/7 on cron jobs, handles multi-step tasks, and operates without you being in the loop.

OpenClaw downloaded and running. This is the agent platform that actually executes the skill pack. If you don’t have OpenClaw yet, you’ll need to download and set it up first.

An API key from OpenAI or Anthropic (Claude). OpenClaw needs an LLM to power the brain behind your agent. You’ll connect either an OpenAI API key or an Anthropic (Claude) API key inside OpenClaw so it knows which model to use when making decisions and taking actions.

A GoHighLevel account (any plan). You need an active GHL sub-account. The Starter plan works for most endpoints, but some advanced scopes like agency-level management require the $297 or $497 plan.

A GHL Private Integration Token (PIT). This is how your agent authenticates with GoHighLevel. Go to Settings > Private Integrations in your GHL sub-account, create a new integration, select the scopes you need, and copy the token. Takes about 2 minutes.

Your GHL Location ID. Found in your sub-account settings. This tells the skill pack which account to connect to.

Option 2: Manual Trigger (Claude or ChatGPT)

If you don’t want to run a full autonomous agent, you can still use this skill pack manually through Claude or ChatGPT. You won’t get cron jobs or 24/7 automation, but you can trigger any of the skill pack’s functions on demand by chatting with your AI.

Claude (Anthropic) or ChatGPT (OpenAI). Either platform works. You’ll use the MCP connection or API calls to interact with GHL through your conversations.

A GoHighLevel account (any plan). Same as above — you need an active GHL sub-account.

A GHL Private Integration Token (PIT). Same setup process. Create the token in GHL settings and provide it to your AI tool.

Your GHL Location ID. Same as above — pulled from your sub-account settings.
